AkzoNobel’s RIBA approved CPD: Powder Coatings and Design’ introduces specifiers to one of constructions’ most fascinating material. The seminar touches on a wide variety of topics including:

  • What is a powder coating?- The manufacturing and formulation process.  Comparison vs anodising and PVDF liquid
  • Durability- Florida Testing and Guarantees
  • Colours and Finishes- RAL, Metallics, Special Effect, Fine Texture, Anodised alternatives. On-site repair systems.
  • Colour Consistency- Ensuring consistency through tighter specifications. Importance of Approved Applicators network.
  • Specification – Key factors to consider when specifying powder coatings.
  • Track Record – Showcasing a number of domestic and international projects that have utilised powder coatings.

Colour cards and sample panels are provided to illustrate the different finishes and effects available for architectural end use.

The 1 hour seminar includes a question and answer session allowing attendees to openly discuss current project requirements, whilst sharing past experiences of specifying powder coatings. If required the seminar can be held as a working lunch session.

For those who wish to gain a deeper understanding, the seminar can be hosted from our manufacturing site (incorporating a factory tour and a demonstration of powder application) or at the premises of an Interpon D Approved Applicator.
